Best Facial Cleaning Tool – Konjac Sponge
What is a konjac facial sponge?
100% natural, Konjac sponges are made from the root of the Konjac plant, which has been cultivated in Asia for centuries. The vegetable fibers of Konjac sponges are naturally porous and become super soft when immersed in water, making them gentle enough to use on all skin types, even sensitive skin. Ideal for daily exfoliation, konjac sponges can be used to buff away dead skin cells, dislodge dirt and even remove your make-up, leaving your face feeling soft and, of course, super clean. And even better – Konjac sponges are totally natural and so you can leave them to biodegrade or even compost them. Say hello to glowing skin without having to add another step to your routine!
What are the effects of Konjac Sponge?
Konjac Sponges are Naturally Exfoliating.
Frequent use of the Konjac sponge will enhance the effects of its exfoliation power. It's also ideal for unclogging pores and can be used along with a face wash to deep cleanse your skin, which is especially useful for people with acne prone skin.
How to use a Konjac sponge?
Prepare your sponge by leaving it to soak in warm water for a couple of minutes. Once it’s soft and squishy, simply splash your face with water, put a few drops of your favourite cleanser onto the sponge and start gently scrubbing in a circular motion. Don’t forget to keep your sponge fresh by replacing it every 2–3 months.
How to Care for a Konjac Sponge?
After each use rinse your sponge and gently squeeze out excess water and hang to dry.
We recommend storing outside of the shower to avoid contamination.
Note: If you think the sponge needs more of a cleanse, add a bit of cleanser like our Gentle Foaming Cleanser; work it through and rinse under running water until water runs clear. Squeeze it out again gently (don’t wring too hard or you could damage the fibers); and finally, hang to dry.

How long should you keep a konjac sponge?
Your Konjac Sponge is a 100% natural vegetable product and should last 1 to 3 months. Once it starts to look tired or breaks down, replace it. Our Konjac Sponges can be safely composted or used in the garden to help water your plants by holding moisture.
